A Little About Myself | |||||||||||||||||

Hi everyone! Welcome to my web site. Just a little about myself - I've always had a fondness in my heart for dolls. In particular, the porcelain dolls. I've been making dolls for nine years and have been in business for almost seven. During my learning years, I took classes from Sharon Harrington in St. George, UT where I also took seminars from the world renowned artist Kristin Thor. My very first porcelain doll was a dime store doll from my husband as an Easter gift. Then I started noticing more & more of the porcelain dolls. Then one day, I walked into a craft store and saw the most gorgeous display of porcelain reproductions I've ever seen. The shop owner came up to me and coaxed me into taking classes, convincing me that yes, even I would be able to make dolls like that. I had my doubts, but soon came to realize that I did have a talent in this area. One thing led to another and now I have my own business and am loving every minute of it. I love people too, and this business lets me get to know new people all the time. My children (three of them - two sons and one daughter) say I talk too much and don't like to go anywhere with me for fear they will never get back home again....
Here are just a few of the dolls I've made

I also have music boxes from where I learned the technique from Kristin Thor. These boxes are beautifully decorated in fine tapestries and metal trims with a porcelain bust or the entire doll. A have to see to appreciate thing.... I'll be posting pictures of them in the future. If you're looking for life-sized dolls (or manequins), I've got those too. Thank you for stopping by and hope to have you back again and again. Nancy L Blair
